Catfish Production

Catfish are a diverse group of ray-finned fish. Named for their prominent barbels, which resemble a cat's whiskers, catfish range in size and behavior. Catfish production in Nigeria is hugely popular – with a booming domestic market as well as strong export sales – and currently accounts for over 80 percent of the country's aquaculture output.

At Ollama Farms International, we invest in the production of diverse species of catfish. There is a demand for whatever capacity we are able to produce.

Tilapia Fish Production

Tilapia are mainly freshwater fish inhabiting shallow streams, ponds, rivers, and lakes, and less commonly found living in brackish water. Historically, they have been of major importance in artisanal fishing in Africa, and they are of increasing importance in aquaculture and aquaponics.

Tilapia is also lower in sodium, calories, and total fat than bacon and other processed meats, and, unlike them, it does not contain nitrates that can potentially cause cancer.

Fish Processing

Smoked fish is fish that has been cured by smoking. This is done to preseve the fish from decay and makes it suitable for storage and export.

When we harvest our fish at Ollama Farms, we smoke them before distributing. You can pre-order smoked and processed fish at any quantity from our farms.
